Rob Gordon

Rob has almost 20 years of construction recruitment experience, initially starting his career with a small boutique agency that focussed on sub-contracting and manufacturing placements across various construction packages from curtain walling (both stick & unitised), roofing, cladding, structural steel, M&E, demolition and piling to name a few.

After 3 years, Rob was keen to expand his construction experience and decided to join a more established recruitment consultancy that typically focussed on recruiting technical hires within the main contracting arena.

Over the next 7 years Rob built significantly on his knowledge and experience, developing a robust understanding of the technical skills candidates require across multiple disciplines. During this period, he also worked in partnership with an Executive Search Expert who had more than 35 years’ experience working on a retained search basis and an excellent reputation for successfully delivering Director and Senior Level hires across the construction industry.   

Since joining Amida in early 2020, Rob has enjoyed a consistent blend of contingency recruitment and executive search assignments across all disciplines, working for the likes of Mace, Sir Robert McAlpine, Westfield, ISG, Morgan Sindall and McLaren to name a few, as well as a number of top 10 sub-contractors across various different construction packages.

Outside of work, Rob enjoys spending time with his young family, playing golf and tennis having been a Professional Player and Tennis Coach earlier in his career. He also makes time to go to the gym where he is a regular on the spin class circuit.
